Expertmaker will run a crash course on the Knowledge Designer software and provide support for participants of the 24 hour hackathon. This opens up the hackathon to anybody, since the Expertmaker software does not require any programming experience or knowledge of Artificial Intelligence.

During the Meet 'n' Hack participants will develop new, sustainable and innovative services for tourism and destinations. The hack is designed as a team event that lasts 24 hours, where you can win tickets for The Conference for the whole team (up to 5 people, worth up to 30 000 €).

A jury consisting of representatives from the tourism and business industries will assess all entries according to the following criteria:

  • Potential: Can your idea be turned into a working service?
  • Benefits: Does the solution fulfill a clear need of the target audience?
  • Competitiveness: Can the business model compete on the market?
  • Innovation: Does your solution use open data in new and unexpected ways?
  • Implementation: Have you, in your prototype demonstrated technical brilliance?

The winning entries will also have the opportunity to further their ideas through follow-up activities with representatives of tourism and business in Skåne and Blekinge.

There will also be presentations and discussions about how open data and digital services can drive innovation and development in the creation of future sustainable and innovative digital travel services.
